FastTrac • Plan It! Entrepreneurship Course

For Startups and Early Stage Businesses

FastTrac is an 12-week immersive course designed to provide you with relevant content and tools as you design and refine your early stage business or your business idea. 

Ready to turn your idea into something real, but not sure where to start? The FastTrac course is a practical, step-by-step business training program designed to help aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs move from “I’ve been thinking about it…” to an actual plan.

This nationally recognized 12-week immersive course offered through Cultural Diversity Resources, West Central MN Small Business Development Center, and Neighborhood Development Center, helps participants build confidence and clarity around the essentials of starting a business, including:

• refining your business idea
• identifying your ideal customers
• understanding competitors
• pricing and revenue models
• creating a marketing plan
• building financial projections
• mapping next steps for launch and growth

Who should sign up?
This course is for you if:

• You have a business idea but need structure and accountability
• You’ve recently launched and want a stronger foundation
• You’re side-hustling and wondering if it can become more
• You feel overwhelmed by all the “start a business” advice online
• You want expert guidance without expensive coaching
• You’d benefit from learning alongside other motivated entrepreneurs

Design Your Startup: This rigorous course taught by an experienced SBDC Business consultant will take you through lessons and homework assignments that will help you to complete a thorough business plan for your startup.

Refine Your Process: You’ve managed the heavy lift of starting your business successfully, but now realize that you weren’t fully prepared for every aspect of running a business. Review key aspects of managing a business with an experienced SBDC consultant who can guide you through those weak spots.

Legacy Planning: Selling your business to a family member or trusted employee? This is a great course for them to attend to start thinking about every aspect of running the business. Attend with them to share your insights into your business.

FastTrac is normally $300 per registrant. Due to SBDC partnership with to Cultural Diversity Resources their partnership with Neighborhood Development Center and SBDC grant funding from MN Department of Employment and Economic Development, we’re able to offer this course at just $50 per registrant.
