Enjoy the river loop trail at the Agassiz Environmental Learning Center while reading "The Jungle Run," a kid's book about a fun jungle race.
The Fertile Public Library has teamed up with the Agassiz Environmental Learning Center and Polk County Public Health to offer a series of Story Strolls this summer tied to our summer Jungle theme. Children and their families are invited to explore the trails as they read the book pages set up along the path. The trails will be marked.
The first Story Stroll will be held around May 18 to around the end of June and will feature The Jungle Run by Tony Mitton. At the start of the Jungle Run, the other animals tell Cub she is too small to race against them, but she proves that her size can be an advantage long before they reach the finish line.
How It Works
This Story Stroll is on the river loop trail at the Agassiz Environmental Leaning Center. The river loop trail starts by the deck at the Nature Center, which is located at 400 Summit Avenue SW. Check the Library's Facebook Event page for any extras, updates, or changes.
Make It Count
Help us continue events like this by having everyone in your group grab a rock at the beginning to answer the question at the end of the book. We'd love for you share some pictures of you on the trail with us!
A big thanks to the Agassiz Environmental Leaning Center for hosting and Polk County Public Health's assistance in creating the Story Strolls.
