Explore how water reacts when dropped on oil in this fun take-home STEAM activity. This is a great outdoor activity.
Stop by the Fertile Public Library to pick up a free watercolor & oil kit for kids and create a masterpiece! The kit contains everything you will need, with the exception of extra water and an optional container to contain the mess.
Observe how water and oil interact. What happens when the oil is dropped first? What is different when the oil is dropped on to a wet page? What happens as it dries? How would spilled oil react in nature?
Request some watercolor books to continue learning about watercolor painting!
