Stop by the Fertile Public Library to pick up a free woodworking kit for kids and create your very own helicopter! The kit contains everything you need, with the exception of an adult helper, a cup of water, a hammer and a toothpick or other small object to help apply glue.
Did you know you can enter items in the Polk County Fair for free? If your entry receives a ribbon you also win prize money. Visit the fair premium list for all the details on how to enter.

The Fertile Public Library is tucked inside the Duane Knutson Community Center on Mill Street across the street from the Main Street Station & Deli. The Fertile Library is a large one-room library with access to a small meeting room and auditorium that can be reserved through the city office and 24-hour access to WiFi.
