The Art of Seed Saving
Learn how to Harvest, Prep and Store Seeds
Thursday, July 16
4:00pm - 5:00pm
Join the Polk County Extensions Master Gardener volunteers as they teach you everything you need to know about saving seeds for next season.
Have you ever wanted to learn how to save seeds, but felt intimidated by all the steps it takes to properly do so? Or maybe you just want to learn more about the process?
The Polk County Master Gardener Volunteers are here to help! Learn which of your plants to choose seeds from, and how to harvest, prepare and store different types of seeds.
Visit the Crookston Public Library's Seed Library! It is open March 21-July 31, 2026. The Seed Library offers free garden seeds to members of our community while supplies are available. We encourage gardeners to also grow the seed library by donating any leftover seeds from the previous year or at the end of the current year, so we can distribute them to more members of the community.
(We currently accept donations of vegetable, herb and flower seeds.)
The Seed Library is made possible thanks to seed donations from the Family Resource Center (FRC) and the support of the Polk County Master Gardener Volunteers.
