Join us for friendly, informal meetings for those learning English to practice their conversational skills. English language-learners of all proficiencies are welcome!

Scheduling Update! Conversation Corner will be on summer break in July and August. Weekly meetings will resume in September.

Join us for friendly, informal meetings to practice speaking English through conversation. English language-learners of all proficiencies are welcome. Mistakes are an important part of learning and are to be expected; come to practice and meet others who are also learning! The meetings will take place weekly on the first through fourth Saturdays of each month; on months with a fifth Saturday, there will not be a meeting on the fifth Saturday.

Facilitator Monique Ammi has been fascinated by languages for as long as she can remember. Even before her first foreign language class, she planned to be a polyglot. Nowadays when asked how many languages she speaks, her answer is usually, “As many as possible!” Monique leads weekly Language Exchange sessions on Wednesday evenings at Moorhead Public Library for people learning French, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish, and will also be leading the weekly Conversation Corner meetings on Saturdays for those who are learning English.
