Join us to discuss the historical fiction "Good Night, Irene: A Novel" by Luis Alberto Urrea. All are welcome including those who haven't read the book (especially if you bring donuts).

Join the Fertile Public Library to discuss Good Night, Irene: A Novel, in which Luis Alberto Urrea delivers an overlooked story of women’s heroism in World War II. With its affecting and uplifting portrait of friendship and valor in harrowing circumstances, it is inspired by his mother’s own Red Cross service. 

All are welcome, even if you haven't read 'Good Night, Irene: A Novel.' If you have any questions, email us at fertile@larl.org.

The Resolute Readers Book Club meets the third Wednesday of the month at 4:00 pm.

About the branch

The Fertile Public Library is tucked inside the Duane Knutson Community Center on Mill Street across the street from the Main Street Station & Deli. The Fertile Library is a large one-room library with access to a small meeting room and auditorium that can be reserved through the city office and 24-hour access to WiFi.
