Join the Detroit Lakes Public Library for our special Polar Fest presentation with MN author Ryan Rodgers as he shares about ski adventures from Scandinavia to Minnesota that spread skiing around the world. He will discuss one of the world’s first ski marathons, an epic, 220km race in northern Scandinavia in 1884, as well as the first ascent of both north and south peaks of Denali, along with many other fascinating ski stories. This program is made possible thanks to the ongoing support of the Becker County Friends of the Library.
