Join us on the third Tuesday of each month to discuss popular, classic, and favorite books with our librarians. All are welcome to drop-in and share their reading experience!
Help your librarians tackle their reading lists by discussing popular, classic, and personal favorite books--and then check them off your own reading list too! The genres and themes will vary; we've got something for everyone! Our June pick is "Carry On" by Rainbow Rowell.
A story within a story, "Carry On" is a spinoff of Rainbow Rowell's "Fangirl".
The magical tale follows the titular Simon Snow as he starts his last year at the Watford School of Magicks in England. Simon has been labelled the "chosen one" and despite this label, is still a teenager dealing with teenager problems. His girlfriend broke up with him, he's struggling with using magic, and his roommate/nemesis is a jerk (but also-- kind of cute?) Despite the issues with his personal life, he's still expected to become the "Greatest Mage" and defeat an evil entity threatening to destroy all magic.
Join the discussion, and check a book off your reading list!
The Moorhead Public Library is located in downtown Moorhead behind the Rourke Art Gallery. The library offers free WiFi, wireless printing and friendly staff to help you access the library's many resources.
