One Book | One Minnesota Author Visit

Authors of 2025's One Book | One Minnesota selection will read their work and discuss "Where We Come From."

One Book | One Minnesota is a statewide book club that invites Minnesotans of all ages to read a common title and come together virtually to enjoy, reflect, and discuss. The featured title for 2025 is Where We Come From by Diane Wilson, Sun Yung Shin, Shannon Gibney & John Coy.

Join the Moorhead Public Library as Authors Diane Wilson and John Coy read "Where We Come From" and discuss the writing process working as a team and their inspiration for writing the book. The authors will also answer audience questions. 

We all come from something. In this unique collaboration, four authors lyrically explore where they each come from—literally and metaphorically—as well as what unites all of us as humans. Weaving together their individual stories, they explore place, ancestors, movement, struggle, determination, and hope.

Powerful poetic text and richly layered illustrations bring together past and present, creating an accessible and visually striking look at family, history, and identity.

Libraries are essential for connection, and through One Book | One Minnesota, libraries across the state will connect their communities through stories and bring Minnesotans closer together.
