Rising Voices

Celebrating Minnesota's Youth Poets

Hear from members of Minnesota’s inaugural Youth Poet Laureate cohort: Youth Poet Laureate Sienna Lee, and Emerging Voice poet Isabel Baumgart, along with Rochester Poet Laureate Jean Prokott.

What does it mean to find your voice as a young poet?

Hear from two members of Minnesota’s inaugural Youth Poet Laureate cohort - the first Youth Poet Laureate, Sienna Lee (who is from Moorhead) and Emerging Voice poet Isabel Baumgart - as they share their original work and talk about what inspires their writing.

Rochester Poet Laureate Jean Prokott will join the young poets for a conversation about poetry, creativity, and their experiences as members of Minnesota’s first Youth Poet Laureate cohort.

Come listen, meet the poets, and hear what this next generation of Minnesota poets has to say.

Light refreshments will be provided.

Registration is encouraged, but not required. Register here.
