Genealogy Jam
Genealogy Chat & Library Resources Assistance
Wednesday, October 07
1:00pm - 3:00pm
Connect with other family history & genealogy research enthusiasts. Learn more about the subject by asking and answering questions. All are welcome. View some of The Fertile Journal's big books!
Join fellow local genealogy enthusiasts to chat about your progress, share tips, and encourage each other. The Fertile Journal will be joining us with some of its big bound books. Let us know the week before if you have a specific year request.
Your library offers free access to a number of popular genealogy research tools, including Ancestry.com (Library Edition), FamilySearch, ProQuest, and the Minnesota Digital Library. We now have a number of Falcon yearbooks from Fertile-Beltrami high school.
If you're interested in exploring these tools with a little assistance, join the Fertile Public Library for a genealogy meetup and learn how to access these tools with a library staff member on hand to answer questions as they come up. It is recommended to bring a laptop, tablet, or flash drive to record information. Don't have a laptop or tablet? Use the library's desktops or check out one of our Chromebooks for In-Library Use for the day.
This program is offered free-of-charge. Don't forget to bring some family information to aid in your research!
