Join local author Jodell Teiken for an engaging and approachable introduction to the rapidly evolving world of artificial intelligence. Sponsored by the Detroit Lakes Library Club.

Join local author Jodell Teiken for an approachable introduction to the rapidly evolving world of artificial intelligence. Based on her book AI Unlocked: Beginner’s Guide to Gain Confidence, Save Time, and Incorporate AI Into Everyday Life, this session will explore what AI means for the average person -now and in the future.

In this session, you will learn:

  • How to recognize when AI is being used around you
  • How to spot misleading or manipulated content
  • Practical ways to protect yourself from being tricked

Jodell will also provide live demonstrations showing how AI can simplify your daily tasks, from summarizing and comparing documents to curating personalized recommendations for books, movies, and more.

Perfect for beginners and lifelong learners, this presentation will leave you feeling more informed, confident, and ready to use AI in smart and meaningful ways. Looking for her book?  Jodell published the book under her maiden name, JR Anderson.

Come early for refreshments at 1:30 p.m.! Music will be provided by Nick and Kassie Heisserer, who created the music using an AI app on their phones requesting AI to use 60's style music and information about the library and library club. 

The mission of the Library Club is to promote interest in our Detroit Lakes Library and develop an understanding of culture, the arts, programs and affairs in our community since 1907.
