Build an End of Summer Time Capsule

Celebrate your Summer Reading Program accomplishments with an end of summer time capsule!
As the sun sets on another Summer Reading Program, we invite you to preserve your summer 2026 reading journey in a "Reading is Timeless" Time Capsule. Join the Clay County Historical Society to learn about what a time capsule is and then build your own with memories from this summer, such as a list of all the books you read, a goal for next year's reading, some photos, or even a few small toys to remember the things you liked to play with!
Kids will bring their time capsule home to keep in a safe place until the end of next summer. This is a great time to also come in to the library to get your last few books before the end of the Summer Reading Program on July 31st!

Barnesville Public Library
The Barnesville Public Library is located right next to the City Hall. The Barnesville Library has a meeting room that can be used for small meetings or events.
