The Science of Sleuthing
Featuring Scouting America
Thursday, July 23
2:00pm - 3:00pm
Join us for "The Science of Sleuthing", an action-packed summer adventure where the world of Sherlock Holmes and Nancy Drew comes to life through the high-tech (and messy) world of forensic science.
Calling all junior gumshoes and master sleuths! A "timeless" mystery has landed at the library, and we need your help to crack the case.
Have you ever wondered how detectives find invisible clues? Based on the Cub Scout Bear Forensics program, you’ll learn to lift "secret" fingerprints with nothing but a pencil and tape, unmask suspects using "ink chromatography," and identify mysterious white powders using the same science as Encyclopedia Brown. Whether you're a Kindergarten "Detective-in-Training" or a 6th-grade "Lead Investigator," there are puzzles waiting just for you.
