Join the Ada Public Library for a fun gardening event! Take home free plants, enjoy light refreshments and share tips and ideas with other individuals who are as passionate about plants as you are!
What is a plant swap?
A plant swap is an event that connects members of the community through a shared love of plants. During the event we trade plants as well as share tips and ideas with other plant lovers. To participate in the event simply bring one or more plants from home and exchange them for other plants at the swap.
What type of plants can I bring to the event?
Perennials, annuals, bulbs, houseplants and cuttings are all welcome.
Can I bring more than one plant?
There is no limit to the number of items that you can bring to the swap.
How many plants can I take home?
There is no limit to the number of plants you can take home with you.
Can I participate if I don't have any plants to exchange?
Yes, absolutely! We always have extra plants to share. Everyone who attends will go home with something.
May I bring other items to the swap?
During the event we will also have a designated area for free gardening items. So clean out your potting shed and bring your unwanted gardening books, magazines, tools, pots and seeds to share at the event. Please make sure all pots and tools are clean and free of dirt or other debris before bringing them to the library.
