Join the Hendrum book club at 3 pm on May 19th to discuss “Hot Dish Heaven” by Jeanne Cooney. We will meet at the Hendrum LINK library site after the author’s visit to discuss the book, which will be held at the Hendrum Civic Center at 2 p.m. Her book are set in the Red River Valley of northwestern Minnesota and her stories include a humorous take on life in the Midwest, complete with references to hot dish, Jell-O and bar recipes.
In Hot Dish Heaven, A Red River Valley cold case murder is investigated by a Minneapolis go-getting newspaper reporter. Along the way, she samples all the local fare and meets an endearing cast of quirky folk living in the rural Minnesotan town.
All are welcome to come and share their reading experience.
The Hendrum Library LINK Site is located in the Hendrum Professional Center on Main Street, across the street from the Post Office. The LINK Site offers access to a public computer and free WiFi as well as books, movies and other materials for check-out.
