Join us for a discussion of Ariel Lawhon's book, "The Frozen River".

"The Frozen River" is a novel inspired by the diary of real life midwife and healer, Martha Ballard.  Martha is summoned to examine the body of a man who was found trapped under the ice and determine his cause of death.  When a local physician disagrees with her conclusion, Martha is forced to investigate on her own.

About the branch

The Bagley Library is located on Spencer Ave SW just one block south of Kubiak's Grocery Store on the right side of the street. The library is housed in the same building as the Bagley Community Room which also has the Bagley Area Arts Collaborative fine arts exhibit available for viewing anytime during open hours.
