Rescheduled from Dec. 19! Join us to discuss "The Secret Garden". All are welcome to drop-in and share their reading experience! This is a make-up date for the weather cancellation in December.

Join us for the Classic Book Club meeting that was postponed due to inclement weather in December. We will discuss "The Secret Garden" by Frances Hodgson Burnett.

Mary is sent to live with her uncle after her parents pass from cholera. At first she is miserable in her new home, where she meets her brother, the housekeeper, a grumpy gardener and her sickly cousin. When Mary follows a robin she discovers a door to the secret garden. She secretly starts to restore the garden. As the plants grow, so does her relationships with those around her. The story is about positive thinking in the face of adversity.

If you've watched the movies, listened to the audiobook, read the graphic novel, or want to know more about it, stop on by to discuss this delightful story!

You can find the novel in the catalog here. Or, if you prefer Libby, you can find our digital copy here.
