Want to learn how to prevent the spread of diseases in our community and at home? Join Becky Schmidt, Public Health Strategist and Data/Epidemiology Project Manager at Clay County Public Health, for an informational presentation on how infectious diseases are transmitted and ways to prevent transmission, including vaccination and more.
Becky has worked with Clay County Public Health for 5 years. She has a Master’s in Public Health (NDSU 2018) with an emphasis in infectious disease epidemiology and a Bachelor's in Microbiology. During the COVID pandemic, she created and managed CCPH’s case investigation and contact tracing team, provided weekly (and sometimes daily) data reports, and served as a resource for both staff and the public. Becky has a passion for teaching others about the impact infectious diseases can have in our community, as well as the best ways to prevent and mitigate outbreaks.
