The Becker County Friends of the Library needs volunteers for the upcoming book sale! Please register to help volunteer at the Annual Becker County Friends of the Library Book Sale.

The Becker County Friends of the Library needs volunteers for the upcoming book sale!  If you are interested, please click the register button or call us at 218-847-2168 to select a time to help volunteer. 

  • Friday, August 2nd and Monday, August 5th, we need help setting up for the sale: moving books out of storage, setting up tables, putting up signage, and sorting books. 
  • Tuesday, August 6th, we need help selling books, restocking tables with more books, and beginning to clean up after the sale finishes. 
  • Wednesday, August 7th, we need help boxing up unsold books, loading and hauling them away. 

Becker County Friends of the Library raises money to support and enhance the Detroit Lakes Public Library and its programs and services for people of all ages. Becker County Friends of the Library helps provide programs that enrich the lives of thousands. The Library helps to make Detroit Lakes a vibrant and engaged community. We couldn't do it without the Becker County Friends of the Library.  Thank you for support the Detroit Lakes Public Library!

About the branch

The Detroit Lakes Public Library is located in downtown Detroit Lakes at the intersection of Washinton Ave. and Frazee Street. The library offers two meeting rooms, four study rooms, a legal kiosk, free Wi-Fi and much more.
