Try out a new hobby and enjoy a book discussion while walking at Sucker Creek Preserve by joining us for a Walking Book Club. Registration is required. In case of rain, check the our Facebook page.

Have you every wanted to try a new hobby, but didn't know where to start? This class is the sixth in the 2024 Monthly Hobby Series at the Detroit Lakes Public Library taught by area experts. Have you ever wanted to join a book club, but didn't have enough time to read a specific book. Have you wanted to get more exercise? Join Brenda Labine as she combines a Book Club and walking. Meet us in the parking lot of Sucker Creek Preserve at 2050 290th Avenue. 

Partner up with someone to walk and discuss the books that you both have been reading. Partway through, we will switch up walking partners. This class is free-of-charge, but registration is required. Click on the registration button to sign up.  In case of inclement weather, check the library's Facebook page for cancelations.

The Detroit Lakes Public Library is located in downtown Detroit Lakes at the intersection of Washinton Ave. and Frazee Street. The library offers two meeting rooms, four study rooms, a legal kiosk, free Wi-Fi and much more.
