Join the Mahnomen Library to learn how to make your very own corn mush. Staff from White Earth Tribal and Community College Community Education will walk youth through the steps to create this traditional dish, including parching, browning and sifting corn, cooking and adding berries and maple syrup. This program is geared for youth ages 5-10.
The Mahnomen library is located at 203 S Main St in the same building as the City Hall. The stone building was constructed in 1937 by the WPA and is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. The library offers public computers, in-house use laptops, free WiFi, and all the other amenities of a Lake Agassiz Regional Library Branch.
