Blast onto the trails at the Agassiz Environmental Learning Center for a non-fiction Story Stroll about planet Earth.
The Fertile Public Library has teamed up with the Agassiz Environmental Learning Center to offer a series of Story Strolls this summer on the theme of "Our Universe." Children and their families are invited to explore the trails as they read the book pages set up along the path. The trails will be marked.
The first Story Stroll will be held from May 18 to June 14 and will feature the lighthearted non-fiction picture book, Earth! My First 4.54 Billion Years which introduces readers key moments in the planet's life, from its formation over four billion years ago to the present, including the Earth's position in the solar system, its layers, and when plants and animals began to inhabit the planet.
How It Works
The Story Stroll is on the river loop trail at the Agassiz Environmental Leaning Center. The river loop trail starts by the deck at the Nature Center, which is located at 400 Summit Avenue SW. . Check the Library's Facebook Event page for any extras, updates, or changes.
Make It Count
Help us continue events like this by having everyone in your group grab a rock at the beginning to answer the question at the end of the book. We'd love for you share some pictures of you on the trail with us!

Grab the publisher's activity pages for Earth! My First 4.54 Billion Years to continue the fun at home.
