Representatives from Polk County Public Health and University of Minnesota Extension will present on the health benefits of gardening and show how to plant a successful vegetable garden.

Gardening has many health benefits, but how do you get started?  This presentation will cover some of the health benefits of gardening and then focus on the gardening basics.  Learn about soil preparation, watering, site location, what to grow, when to plant, and how to care for your vegetable garden.  This presentation is intended for beginning gardeners.

The Crookston Public Library is located at 110 N. Ash St. next to the old Carnegie Library. The Crookston Library offers study carrels, a private meeting room, and the beautiful River Room for your individual use or group meeting needs.
