Karen Nitzkorski, Suicide Prevention Coordinator with ReThink Mental Health Suicide Prevention at Clay County Public Health, will talk about changing the narrative on mental health and suicide, including understanding the importance of language surrounding mental health and suicide; identifying risk and protective factors; feeling empowered to respond to someone in distress; and, discussing feelings, beliefs, and attitudes regarding mental health and suicide.
This presentation was developed by the Suicide Prevention Unit within the Minnesota Department of Health, in collaboration with the Minnesota Suicide Prevention Taskforce.
