Understanding the importance of language, ability to identify risk and protective factors, and be empowered to respond to people in distress.

Changing the Narrative:

Participants will leave with an understanding about the importance of language, be able to identify risk and protective factors, and be empowered to respond to people in distress.

Discuss the different feelings, beliefs, and attitudes talking about mental health and suicide.

We welcome back Destiny Brown from Northern Pines Mental Health Center to present Changing the Narrative on Mental Health & Suicide as part of our fall mental health programs. 

These trainings and presentations are made possible by a grant from the Minnesota Department of Health.

About the branch

The Fertile Public Library is tucked inside the Duane Knutson Community Center on Mill Street across the street from the Main Street Station & Deli. The Fertile Library is a large one-room library with access to a small meeting room and auditorium that can be reserved through the city office and 24-hour access to WiFi.
