Join Fargo-Moorhead artist Bizzy Burslie at the Fertile Public Library for a 2-hour hands-on workshop on Kinusaiga, the Japanese art of "quilting without thread." Learn how to press fabric scraps into grooved boards to craft beautifully textured, no-sew designs while giving old textiles new life. This program is offered free of charge thanks in part to funding from the Minnesota Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund and all supplies will be provided. Registration will open Tuesday, August 25 at 3:30 p.m. 

Appropriate for ages 12+

Bizzy Burslie is a local Fargo-Moorhead artist, maker, and community organizer. She serves as Co-President of the Fiber Arts Festival and is well-known in the local creative scene for her hand-stitched works, floral and botanical prints, and participation in regional art markets.

About the branch

The Fertile Public Library is tucked inside the Duane Knutson Community Center on Mill Street across the street from the Main Street Station & Deli. The Fertile Library is a large one-room library with access to a small meeting room and auditorium that can be reserved through the city office and 24-hour access to WiFi.
