Join the Fertile Public Library to learn how to crochet a Yip Yip bag charm, inspired by the iconic "Martian" characters from Sesame Street.
Project Details
- What You'll Make: A fun, miniature Yip Yip with a wide mouth and fringe, perfect for attaching to purses, backpacks, or belt loops.
- Supplies Provided: The library will supply crochet hooks, yarn in various colors, and unique "eyeball rings" to complete your Martian.
- Design Source: This project uses the pattern and video tutorial from Repeat Crafter Me.
Event Guidelines
- Target Audience: This event is geared for teens but everyone is welcome to join the fun.
- Age Requirement: Children 12 and younger must have an adult helper present to assist with the crochet steps.
- Availability: If you missed the library program, you can still create a Yip Yip at home while leftover materials last.

Fertile Public Library
The Fertile Public Library is tucked inside the Duane Knutson Community Center on Mill Street across the street from the Main Street Station & Deli. The Fertile Library is a large one-room library with access to a small meeting room and auditorium that can be reserved through the city office and 24-hour access to WiFi.
