Explore what it's like to be an author with an author visit featuring Selina Li Bi and Tory Christie. The program will feature an interactive Q&A session followed by a creative writing workshop.

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be an author? Join young adult author Selina Li Bi and middle grade author Tory Christie for an engaging event exploring their creative processes, their writing journeys and the importance of diverse voices in literature.

Through an interactive presentation and Q&A session followed by a creative writing workshop, the authors will share how different perspectives shape the connections between readers and characters. Selina Li Bi will discuss her debut young adult novel, "Sunlight Playing over a Mountain," a mythology-infused coming-of-age story, and Tory Christie will follow with insights from her thirteenth children’s book, "A Touch of Blue," from her perspective as an Earth scientist.

This program is open to the public and is geared for teens and young adults, as well as anyone interested in writing for these age groups.

Paper and writing utensils will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own.
