Join the Reading by the Red Club for engaging conversation over tea and cookies in the River Room at the Crookston Public Library. This month we'll discuss "The Mesmerist" by Caroline Woods.

The Mesmerist is a murder mystery based on a real-life murder that happened in Minneapolis in the late 1800's.  The story is told through the perspectives of three women at the Bethany Home for Unwed Mothers, including one of its founders. As vulnerable women are murdered, these women investigate who may be behind the killings. It's the perfect spooky read for October.
