Join your library to hear from author Lee Svitak Dean about her latest book celebrating the recipes and stories of immigrants from more than thirty countries.

Join your library to hear about “The Ultimate Minnesota Cookie Book” author Lee Svitak Dean’s latest project, “Kitchens of Hope” co-written with Linda S. Svitak and Christen Jay Eaten with photography by Tom Wallace. Bringing readers on a culinary journey around the globe, “Kitchens of Hope” features recipes and stories of immigrants from more than thirty countries and celebrates cuisines from all around the world. The author will discuss the process of writing “Kitchens of Hope” as well as “The Ultimate Minnesota Cookie Book.”

Admission is free thanks in part to funding from the Minnesota Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund.

About the branch

The Fertile Public Library is tucked inside the Duane Knutson Community Center on Mill Street across the street from the Main Street Station & Deli. The Fertile Library is a large one-room library with access to a small meeting room and auditorium that can be reserved through the city office and 24-hour access to WiFi.
