$5 Admission - Library Day at the Chahinkapa Zoo

Explore wild tales and animals—let your imagination soar at the Chahinkapa Zoo!
Join the Breckenridge Public Library and the Leach Public Library at the Chahinkapa Zoo for a day of fun, learning and adventure! This event is designed for kids ages 4-12 and is packed with exciting activities, from lively storytimes to an exciting animal scavenger hunt.
Activities:
- Free books for kids to take home
- Animal-themed craft station
- Engaging Storytimes presented by a local librarian
- Story strolls along zoo paths
- Go on the prowl with a fun animal scavenger hunt
- Q&A with a zookeeper—learn all about your favorite animals!
Admission Info:
- Kids (ages 4–12) get in for just $5 with a library card (limit up to 4 kids per card)
- If you're already a zoo member, you'll receive a complimentary carousel ticket
- Adults pay standard zoo admission
- Event is limited to 150 total participants, so arrive early—space is first come, first served!
Come for the animals, stay for the stories, and leave with a new book and memories. It’s a day where adventure and imagination meet in the heart of the zoo!

Breckenridge Public Library
Join us to explore different themes with stories, songs, rhymes, flannel boards, special guests and more! Storytime typically lasts for 45 minutes and is geared for children ages 3-6, although children of all ages are welcome to join the fun. This month our theme is turtles.
