Get a jump start on your garden with a free seed starting workshop featuring Patty Garcia, SNAP-ED Health and Wellness Coordinator for Mahnomen and Norman Counties.
Spring is right around the corner and now is the perfect time to start planning your garden.
There is nothing more satisfying than growing your own plants from seed. The Ada Public Library is partnering with the Norman County Extension office to offer a free seed starting workshop on March 20 as part of their One Vegetable One Community program. Community members are invited to visit the library anytime between 4-6 p.m. to pick up free seeds for their garden. Those in attendance will also be able to make their own biodegradable seed starting pots and learn how to properly plant their seeds.
All supplies will be provided including a selection of tomato, pepper, flower and herb seeds.
This is a beginner friendly program that is open to all ages and is perfect for all gardening styles including container, in-ground or windowsill gardens.
Join us for a second Community Seed Starting Workshop on May 8 from 2 -4 p.m.
