Simar will visit the library to discuss her latest novel, Sister Lumberjack, which is set in the forests of northern Minnesota. Join us to hear about her writing style and experience writing historical novels. In addition to Sister Lumberjack, Simar’s books include Follow Whiskey Creek, Abercrombie Trail, Shelterbelts and many more.
Admission is free thanks in part to funding from the Minnesota Legacy Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund.

The Mahnomen library is located at 203 S Main St in the same building as the City Hall. The stone building was constructed in 1937 by the WPA and is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. The library offers public computers, in-house use laptops, free WiFi, and all the other amenities of a Lake Agassiz Regional Library Branch.
