3-2-1 Blast Off! Explore astronaut training stations which include glowing planets, galaxy painting, astronaut food tasting and more. Large groups are asked to notify the library ahead of time.

Launch into the Summer Library Experience by participating in Astronaut Training at your library. 

Explore a number of Astronaut Training stations, including:

  • Glowing planets painting activity
  • Galaxy painting activity
  • Freeze dried food tasting featuring Solie Specialties
  • Solar system photo opportunity
  • Solar system felt board activity
  • Conduct an experiment in the Still Air Glove Box
  • Astronaut stomp bucket stilt race

Heads up! We will be using acrylic paint. There will be a limited number of aprons & paint shirts available.

Make sure you grab a ticket on your way into the library. We will be drawing for Explore! Space T-shirts! And, don't forget to pick up your summer reading log. About the branch

The Fertile Public Library is tucked inside the Duane Knutson Community Center on Mill Street across the street from the Main Street Station & Deli. The Fertile Library is a large one-room library with access to a small meeting room and auditorium that can be reserved through the city office and 24-hour access to WiFi.
