Visit the library to take in TESTIFY, a traveling exhibit of banners depicting historical pieces of Americana that illustrate the struggles from slavery, segregation, and discrimination.
Visit the Detroit Lakes Public Library to view the TESTIFY exhibit, a temporary installation of an impactful photographic exhibit featuring artifacts pertaining to slavery, segregation, and discrimination in the United States. The exhibit features a collection of physical artifacts belonging to former Minnesota Supreme Court Justice and NFL Hall of Famer Alan Page, photographed and memorialized in this traveling exhibit including descriptions of the historically significant items.
The exhibit will be on display at Detroit Lakes Public Library from April 15 - May 3.
A reception at the Detroit Lakes Public Library with viewing of a live virtual interview with Alan Page will be held on April 30 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.; virtual interview begins at 7:00 p.m.
